MuxLab - 500970 SM80 - Module SFP monomode 80km

The MuxLab 500970 SM80 is designed for very long-distance fibre links. It is used in configurations where equipment is distributed over remote sites, with significant distance constraints.

It operates on single-mode fibre with a wavelength of 1550 nm, suitable for extended transmissions. In many cases, this combination enables reliable communication to be maintained over several tens of kilometres without intermediate amplification.

The module fits into a standard SFP port, making it compatible with a wide range of network equipment. It can be used with switches, converters or AV over IP systems incorporating fibre interfaces.

In a network architecture, this type of module is generally used for backbone links, connecting different buildings or areas of a large site. It enables network, audio and video streams to be transported over a single fibre infrastructure.
