Nord - Electro 7 73
The Nord Electro 7 73 combines the sonic power of the latest generation of Electro with a 73-note keyboard offering greater playing range. Designed for the stage, it combines reference pianos, organs inspired by the Nord Organ 3 and a modern synth section, all in a clear and immediate interface.
Presentation
This Electro generation marks a clear evolution in ergonomics. The high-definition colour display makes essential information much easier to read, while the new push-button rotary encoder navigation system makes sound selection quicker and more intuitive. Programme changes can be made without cutting the audio, a crucial point in concerts when the sequences must remain fluid.
The sound engine is based on three independent sections: piano, organ and synth. Each can be used separately, superimposed or split across the keyboard using an advanced split mode. Nine split points are available, clearly indicated by LEDs, making them easy to locate in live situations. Another important development is that each module now has its own effects section, offering greater freedom of sound processing, while sharing a high-quality master reverb.
The piano section exploits the latest advances in the Nord Piano Library, with fine management of sympathetic resonance, dynamic filters and several velocity curves to adapt to the touch of each musician. The organ section benefits directly from modelling from Nord Organ 3, including revisited phonic wheel organs, transistor organs and a particularly detailed rotary speaker emulation. The nine physical harmonic sliders, accompanied by LED bargraphs, enhance the pleasure of playing and the precision of the settings.
The great novelty of the Electro 7 is its programmable synth section. It combines sample playback, analogue waveforms and FM synthesis, with resonant filters, full envelopes and advanced play modes. Despite this richness, the approach remains true to Nord: direct control, without complex menus, perfectly suited to real-time playing.
With its 73-note format, the Nord Electro 7 is a versatile choice for live keyboardists who want more playing space, an extended sound palette and proven reliability, while retaining a lightweight, easy-to-carry instrument.

Born in Stockholm in the early 1980s, the company originally called Clavia launched its first Drum Pad, with which it met with immediate success, followed a few years later by the Nord Lead synthesizer. Today, the Swedish manufacturer of the Nord product line continues to produce high quality handcrafted keyboards in its factory in Sweden, and has become one of the leading manufacturers of Nord Wave synthesizers, Nord Lead, Nord Stage keyboards, Nord Grand, Nord Piano and Nord Electro organs for live and studio musicians.
