Presentation
This model features a dual sound generator combining AWM2 and AWM Organ technologies, for 128-voice polyphony and a vast palette of 363 sounds ranging from acoustic pianos and synths to slide organs, strings, brass and percussion. With 160 Live Set memories, the CK88 lets you save complete configurations (splits, layers, effects) and recall them immediately, a major advantage on stage.
The playing interface is designed for efficiency: 9 harmonic sliders for organs, 3 volume faders, 11 control knobs, pitch and modulation wheels and a backlit LCD screen. Each sound can be enhanced via a Master EQ and a selection of on-board effects, offering real creative freedom live. The internal sequencer also lets you record or play with loops for performance purposes.
In terms of connectivity, the CK88 has everything you need to integrate it into a modern setup: line outputs, stereo line input, headphone output, pedal control inputs, MIDI DIN ports, USB Audio via USB To Host, USB To Device port for saving presets, and Bluetooth audio for streaming content directly from a smartphone or tablet.
Finally, its versatile power supply (mains or batteries) means you can use it anywhere, even away from a power socket. The Yamaha CK88 combines expressiveness, autonomy and playing power in a fluid interface designed for musicians in the field.

The Drive function offers five types of overdrive and distortion to add depth to your sound.
Effects 1 and 2 offer modulation effects such as chorus, flanger and phaser. Time-based effects such as Delay and Reverb, as well as Wah effects, Drive, Tremolo and experimental synthesis effects such as Ring Modulation, Slicer, Lo-Fi, and more. Not to mention EQ. With 36 effects in all, it's like having a built-in, customisable pedalboard.
The CK lets you split, layer, mix and process everything from the front panel. So it's easy to create an almost infinite combination of sounds. Separate bass and piano. Layered organ with strings. Experiment with modern synthetic sounds. The CK offers you three parts that let the music go wherever you want.
Analogue/digital (A/D) inputs let you apply two dedicated effects to the audio and store them in a LIVE SET.
The filter and envelope generator (EG) have dedicated controls for the most commonly used synth parameters and a dedicated bypass button for quickly returning to the default state. You have total control over shaping your sound.
The CK goes wireless with Bluetooth audio to accept tracks from your phone or bandmates. You can even use the built-in speakers to play a melody or launch tracks from your phone.
