Nord - Nord Grand 2

The Nord Grand 2 renews the approach to live piano playing by combining the sensitivity of a Kawai Hammer Action keyboard with the versatility of the sound engines developed by Nord. With 88 weighted notes and a touch that faithfully reproduces the response of an acoustic piano, it is aimed at musicians looking for sensations close to traditional playing, while offering the tools they need to modulate and enrich their expression.

This model features two independent piano engines, enabling sounds to be superimposed or divided into several zones with smooth transitions. It incorporates acoustic pianos recorded from renowned concert models, enhanced by customisable sound settings: Soft, Mid, Bright or Dyno filters, dynamic compression and sympathetic resonance. The 120-voice polyphony ensures full reproduction, even in the densest passages.

The electric piano section features the flagship timbres of the Electro series, with multi-sampled Rhodes, Wurlitzer and Clavinet. Two synth slots let you load samples from the Nord Sample Library. Functions such as Tru-Vibrato, unison mode and glide are included, with the possibility of adjusting each parameter in real time.

Each sound layer has its own effects section: modulation, delay, compressor, amp emulation. A global reverb completes the package, with layer-by-layer metering. The keyboard is supplied with the Triple Pedal 2, for fine-tuned control of sustain, soft pedal and mechanical feedback.

Designed for live performance as much as for recording or personal practice, the Nord Grand 2 offers fluid navigation between sounds, presets and settings, with an easy-to-read screen and clear structure. Its compatibility with Nord Piano Monitor loudspeakers also makes it ideal for stage set-ups without a traditional monitor.
