Clavia Digital Musical Instruments (Clavia DMI AB) is a Swedish manufacturer of electronic keyboards, synthesizers and stage pianos, founded in Stockholm in 1983 by Hans and Mikael Carlsson Nordelius.
In 1983, Hans and Mikael Carlsson Nordelius start working in the suburbs of Stockholm to the first digital battery "Digital Percussion Plate 1". In 1995, they design their first synthesizer, the Nord Lead who knows a great success. Subsequently, other models have emerged: Nord Rack x, the Nord Modular, a virtual modular synthesizer (software), the Nord Lead 2, Nord Lead and Nord Lead 2x 3 (improved versions of the Nord Lead), the North Modular G2. The evolution of the range is then directed to the emulation of electromechanical keyboards like the Hammond organ, electric piano and Hohner Clavinet with the release of Nord Electro track improvements Nord Electro 2 and Nord Electro 3, and North keyboard Internship
