The Norman brand is part of a Quebec tradition in which the choice of wood plays a significant role. Some models use Canadian wild cherry, a wood found in several instruments from the Godin family. The company also states that its Canadian guitars are made from wood sourced from controlled sources, with some of the wood coming from local salvage. The Norman B-150 Anniversary exemplifies this approach with a body made from Canadian wild cherry and a solid Sitka spruce top. This edition pays tribute to La Patrie, a village in Quebec associated with Robert Godin’s origins and his work there since 1972.
