DAW Controllers

Discover the Launchpad for Fruity Loops Studio with the Novation FLpad, a MIDI controller developed in partnership with Image-Line to transform FL Studio’s essential functions into controls that can be accessed directly via a grid of 64 RGB pads. Rhythms, melodies, basslines, chords and samples can be played or sequenced from the same controller, whilst dedicated modes for the Channel Rack, Sequencer, Patterns and Graph Editor allow you to build and edit a track without having to constantly use the mouse. The FLpad comes with six months’ access to FL Studio Producer Edition, as well as a selection of Melodics software and courses.

Do you need help?
The Novation FLpad has been specifically designed around FL Studio and its music production environment. Developed in collaboration with Image-Line, it incorporates the functions most commonly used to build a track and organises them directly onto a grid of 64 RGB pads. The controller thus becomes a fully-fledged working interface for programming, playing and editing the elements of a project.

The velocity-sensitive pads allow you to play sounds from the Channel Rack and trigger samples with greater nuance than a simple on/off command. The same principle applies to finger drumming, basslines, chords and melodies. Note mode allows you to play chromatically or within a defined scale, whilst dedicated configurations are provided for FPC, Slicex and Fruity Slicer.

The FLpad also supports sequencing multiple instruments. Its Sequencer view allows you to work with up to four Channel Rack instruments simultaneously and to create or edit rhythmic, melodic or harmonic patterns. The pads can also be used to access FL Studio’s Graph Editor to directly adjust various note parameters, such as velocity or pitch.

Pattern management is integrated into the controller, allowing you to quickly create, select, delete or duplicate different parts of a project. Dedicated controls also provide access to playback, recording, undo and other navigation functions. Finally, Channel Rack Mixer mode allows you to use the grid as a row of faders to control the mix of elements within the Channel Rack.

Novation adds the ability to customise the FLpad with Components to adapt certain controls to other software or MIDI equipment. The controller can therefore be expanded beyond its native integration with FL Studio.

The included bundle immediately enhances the setup with six months’ access to FL Studio Producer Edition, additional instruments and effects, as well as a range of Melodics lessons dedicated to playing on pads.
