The NUX NCK 430 White stands out by contrast – a white digital piano, weighing in at 56.6 kg. Beneath this light-coloured finish lie 88 keys with a heavy touch, featuring a weighted, graded hammer-action mechanism with escapement, mounted on the NUX WKJ-03 triple-sensor keyboard.

The touch response can be adjusted across 10 levels, with separate settings for black and white keys, whilst the ivory- and ebony-effect finish keeps your fingers gliding smoothly even after a long session.

256-voice polyphony supports 150 sounds – comprising 20 piano sounds and 130 other sounds – whilst 20 artist presets add reverb, chorus, vibrato, tremolo, flanger, phaser and delay.

50 accompaniment styles, single and multi-finger fingering, and 100 demo songs provide inspiration for daily practice, with synchronised start, adjustable sound balance, adjustable split point, octave shift and transposition within ±12 semitones. A4 tuning between 425 and 455 Hz, a metronome between 40 and 240 bpm and 5-track recording help structure your session before the auto-off function kicks in.

The three pedals cover sustain, soft, sostenuto, modulation and volume, as well as both directions of pitch control, with half-pedalling that adds nuance to note sustain, extended resonance whilst the pedal is depressed, and neighbouring strings that vibrate subtly.

Bluetooth Audio and MIDI, via the NBT-1 module, connect headphones, speakers or a tablet wirelessly. USB Audio, USB MIDI, OTG recording, two headphone outputs, 2 line outputs and a pedal connection round off the rear panel, powered by a 10 W x2 + 7 W x2 amplifier, 4 speakers and Room EQ settings with a compressor/limiter.
