The 2MR 78 Mono has a specially designed housing to fit perfectly with Rega turntables and tone arms, which are renowned for their small form factor requirements. The slim housing fits under the tone arm without any modification or spacer, allowing quick and easy mounting with just two screws.
The stylus of the 2MR 78 Mono is fitted with a Spherical type diamond, ideal for playing 78 rpm shellac vinyl records. These unique records require a wider stylus profile, and the 2MR 78 Mono adapts perfectly to this requirement, guaranteeing optimum playback quality and preserving the authenticity of your precious collection.
The 2MR 78 Mono features Ortofon's unique quad-pole coil system with split polar pins and uses a hard-wired output to provide the same output signal from both sets of polar pins. This eliminates the need for mono-specific equipment, allowing true mono reproduction to be enjoyed on any turntable.
