Monitoring Accessories
The Grand Audition MKII Palmer matrix organises your comparative loudspeaker listening with clear, stable routing. You connect several balanced XLR sources and navigate between configurations to judge each speaker without perceptible bias. The 19" rack chassis accommodates numerous outputs so that your comparisons remain constant in a busy studio environment. A variable level control accompanies each analogue path to maintain consistent volumes as you switch rapidly between speakers. This switching matrix becomes your patient, almost Zen-like arbiter when your ears want to compare.

Presentation
With the Grand Audition MKII, you select each output individually or in stereo pairs from the device or the Quick Clear application. The switch guarantees immediate, noise-free changes between speakers so that your judgement remains constant during every serious studio comparison.
It accepts up to 16 individual speakers or 8 pairs with subwoofers, via balanced XLR connectors. You adjust the level of each output separately to precisely match the volumes, facilitating truly consistent speaker comparison in your studio. In this configuration, Palmer maintains an entirely analogue signal path to preserve the neutrality needed for repeated tests with various sources connected.
The Grand Audition MKII features a built-in USB media player compatible with WAV, AIF, FLAC, MP3 and OGG, allowing you to use reliable references directly from the matrix without a computer for quick, clean comparisons. You can control selections via a browser from a tablet or laptop, and Ethernet or WLAN peripherals complete the channel naming and other useful settings for keeping the rack clearly organised. Up to 3 units can be daisy-chained to extend multi-room set-ups, distribute signals to multiple headphone amps, and manage demonstration or measurement areas without audible disturbance in busy studio environments.
