The Pearl MUS1480M-224 is a 14" x 8" snare drum in a deep, expressive format. Its 5.4 mm, 6-ply maple body uses SST technology for even vibration. The result is a full sound with plenty of body and a clear attack.
The deep-drawn 1.6 mm hoops maintain a good balance between openness and control. CL-100 Bridge Lug shells limit contact with the barrel to preserve natural resonance. The SR-700 trigger operates smoothly and allows precise adjustment of timbre tension. The SNW-1420 timbre ensures a clean, even response across the entire surface of the skin.
This snare drum is equally at home with low tunings and higher tensions. It remains legible even at the lowest settings. The barrel responds progressively, without excessive saturation. The Matte Natural finish soberly highlights the maple grain.
