The Pearl PSK60FC is shekere in its most authentic form. Carved from real dried calabash, this medium-sized model captures the spirit of West African percussion, with its rich sound and raw energy.
Around this natural shell, a net of hard plastic beads is hand-woven. You can adjust its tension to modify the character of the sound: taut for a dry, nervous performance, loose for a more relaxed groove.
This shaker can be played by shaking, turning or hitting the bottom of the calabash to create a deep bass resonance. Thanks to its black interior reinforcement, it remains solid despite its organic construction.
