The Pearl PSK-70FC is an impressive traditional shekere. Carved from real dried calabash, it takes you back to the roots of West African music.
All around, a net of hard beads is hand-woven. You can shake it, turn it or tap the bottom for deep bass. Thanks to the adjustable mesh, you can choose your style: a fast, dry response or a more relaxed groove.
Inside, a black coating reinforces the shell, making it much tougher than it looks. It's the ideal instrument for gigs, workshops or outdoor sessions. It's expressive and requires no complex technique.
You can incorporate it into Latin and Afrobeat music.
