PHONAK - Roger Repeater

The Phonak Roger Repeater extends the range of receivers in the Roger communication system. Operating on the licence-free 2.4 GHz band, it integrates into the Roger network and allows the receiver to move freely throughout the coverage area with virtually imperceptible handover between repeaters.

Its automatic operation simplifies day-to-day use. Thanks to its built-in start-up mechanism, Roger devices automatically configure the optimal network architecture. If the repeater loses connection with a transmitter, it automatically searches for that transmitter or another available repeater to re-establish the connection.

The Roger Repeater also features a built-in rechargeable battery offering a full day’s use without recharging. Power is supplied and the battery is recharged via a standard micro-USB connection.

A wall-mount bracket is supplied to allow the unit to be adapted to the area to be covered. The repeater also features a standard ¼-20 tripod mount. The technical specifications indicate a range of 50 to 70 m between a transmitter and a repeater or between two repeaters, compared with 15 to 40 m between a transmitter and a receiver. Positioning must take into account the wireless signal’s propagation and the area to be covered.
