The result of a close collaboration between Grammy Award-winning musician John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith, the Silver Sky is the culmination of years of development. Blending Mayer and Smith's favourite elements of 1963 and 1964 instruments with a modern twist, the PRS Silver Sky offers the warmth and familiarity of an old guitar, combined with the finesse of a new instrument.

More than just a guitar, the Silver Sky is the culmination of a dream shared by John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith: to combine the vintage charm of the 60s with the performance and aesthetics of a modern instrument.
The result of a two-year collaboration, PRS revisits Mayer and Smith's favourite elements on instruments from 1963 and 1964, adding a resolutely contemporary touch. The warmth, familiarity and authenticity of a vintage guitar blend harmoniously with the finesse and precision of a state-of-the-art instrument.
The Silver Sky features a number of unique details. The inverted headstock design, inspired by the PRS signature, ensures ideal string length behind the nut for better tuning support. Vintage locking action ensures stability, while the third-generation steel vibrato provides smooth, precise action.
The 635JM single-coil pickups deliver a round, warm sound with musical highs. The rosewood neck has slightly rounded shoulders for greater comfort, and the fingerboard with its 7.25" radius has been meticulously developed for optimum playability.
