It has always been John Mayer's dream to create a guitar that combines the best of vintage specifications with a modern spirit and aesthetic, in a new Venetian Blue finish. A dream collaboration, the Silver Sky is the fruit of a close collaboration between the musician and Paul Reed Smith, the result of several years of development.

Combining John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith's favourite elements of vintage instruments with a modern twist, the PRS Silver Sky offers the warmth and familiarity of an old guitar with the precision of a new instrument.
PRS's signature inverted headstock, combined with locking vintage tuners, ensures better tuning and optimal stability.
The Gen III bridge is based on PRS's patented design, with increased contact with the body for improved tone and sustain.
The 635JM pickups offer a warm, round sound, with never aggressive highs, for a vintage sound with modern playability.
The neck profile has been designed after extensive study of vintage instruments and live testing by John Mayer.
High-end finishes such as a bone saddle, moulded metal jack plate, reworked buttons and a double-action truss rod accessible from the headstock complete this exceptional guitar.
