The Q SUB100 Satin Black is an active subwoofer from Q Acoustics, equipped with a 10" driver designed to reinforce the low frequencies in a hi-fi or home cinema installation. Its DSP digital processing automatically optimises integration with associated speakers and adapts the signal level according to the connected source. Q Acoustics presents the Q SUB100 Satin Black, a subwoofer designed to effectively complement a hi-fi or home cinema system by providing bass extension suitable for 2.1, 5.1 or 7.2 configurations. Its 254 mm driver is housed in a closed Infinite Baffle enclosure that delivers taut, controlled bass, while the absence of a vent makes it easy to place close to a wall or piece of furniture.
Integrated digital signal processing (DSP) plays a central role in the SUB100's operation, automatically detecting the type and level of the incoming signal in order to adjust the gain and optimise performance according to the source used. This electronic management also simplifies integration with different loudspeakers, thanks to a low-pass filter adjustable from 40 to 250 Hz, delay settings and phase inversion.
The digital amplifier developed by Q Acoustics uses a four-stage PBTL architecture to improve driver control while limiting heat dissipation and distortion. The SUB100 achieves 250W continuous and 500W peak with a claimed harmonic distortion of just 0.09%.
Its high-density MDF construction with a reinforced 36 mm front panel helps to limit parasitic vibrations and maintain the cabinet's stability under high acoustic pressure. Its compact size and Satin Black finish make it easy to fit into a living room or dedicated room.
