Based on RØDE's award-winning NTG3 shotgun microphone, the NTG8 is an HF electrostatic shotgun microphone offering even more accurate directivity over a wide bandwidth. This makes the NTG8 a perfect microphone for film, television, sports coverage, outside broadcasts, concerts and all professional applications where the source is relatively far away.
Like the NTG3, the NTG8 features low self-noise and natural sound without coloration, both on-axis and off-axis.
HF ("RF Bias") technology means it can be used in very humid locations where traditional condenser microphones cannot be used.
