Shure - MV6 Gen 2

The Shure MV6 Gen 2 is a dynamic cardioid USB-C microphone designed for content creators, gamers and streamers.
Its Auto Level mode directly manages level fluctuations based on the behaviour of the voice.

In environments where multiple sound sources coexist, Voice Isolation Technology utilises the dynamic capsule, cardioid polar pattern and digital processing to minimise off-axis sounds. The Real-time Denoiser also allows you to adjust the intensity of noise reduction in real time to refine the vocal output.

The 5-band equaliser provides precise control over the vocal character, with dedicated controls for brightness, presence, warmth and body. Three Tone profiles – Dark, Natural and Bright – round off this palette, enabling you to quickly alter the overall balance. This architecture allows you to adapt the tone to the content being broadcast, without relying on external audio processing for each variation in sound.

Shure has added Smart Audio presets which extend the possibilities to vocal, singing and instrumental applications, with ‘Speech’, ‘Singing’ and ‘Instrument’ activating different processing depending on the source. The Speech preset utilises Auto Level, Denoiser and Digital Popper Stopper, whilst Singing disables noise reduction and Instrument retains an unprocessed signal. This organisation thus allows users to switch from speech to music recording with a processing approach tailored to each type of content.

The Digital Popper Stopper directly reduces transients associated with plosive consonants, without the need for a physical pop filter, whilst the Tap-to-Mute touch function instantly mutes the signal without an audible click. The 3.5 mm headphone output provides latency-free monitoring, with a mix control between the microphone signal and the system audio via MOTIV Mix. The USB-C connection works with PC, Mac, iOS and Android without the need for drivers, and MFi certification covers iPhone and iPad devices.
