When you launch your first kit, you'll notice the richness of the multi-layered samples captured at Drum Workshop. The texture of the DW skins is superimposed naturally, from the soft pianissimo to the furious blast. And at the same time, the behaviour-modelling algorithms make the sound breathe like a living drum kit, making the transition between each strike blissfully fluid.
The V-Drums VAD 516 also stands out for its built-in coaching tools. Time Check, Quiet Count, Stroke Monitor, Phrase Trainer and Blast Beat Trainer help you play every day. These features analyse your weak points, fine-tune your tempo and support your progress like a discreet coach. You'll continue to use them to push your limits, even after months of practice.
The module's colour screen is an intuitive control panel. Every parameter is clearly displayed and navigation is instinctive. You can choose your kit, adjust a compressor or change the reverb in a matter of seconds, without going through complex menus. The interface is designed so that you spend more time playing than searching for your settings.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth open up new possibilities. You can plug in an SDHC card to save your sounds, then download Roland Cloud extensions or edit your kits directly from the V-Drums Play app. This digital gateway will keep your instrument connected to an ever-expanding library, so your set will keep pace with your musical evolution.
