The Savarez 510CJP poses a precise technical question from the very first chord: how do you combine the crystalline clarity of the New Cristal trebles in clear composite nylon with the fleshy depth of the Cantiga Premium basses in silver wire? The answer lies in the balance of strong tension - six strings calibrated so that the attack of the treble and the weight of the bass occupy the same dynamic spectrum without one overpowering the other.
The strong tension hardens the response to touch in all six positions: the picado gains in clarity of grain, the barré holds its tune without drifting on held chords. The tight intonation guaranteed by the French manufacturing process is confirmed when the positions are raised - the geometry of the bass winding remains constant from one string to the next. A 6-string set designed for concert repertoire and demanding desks.
