Presentation
The Savarez 5208R is designed for a rare instrument: the 10-string guitar, whose low extension requires strings with a different mechanical profile from those of a standard set. This low C string, with its silver plated wire and steel core, derives its rigidity from the central metal - the steel resists stretching under high tension where nylon would fail, stabilising intonation over unusually long vibrato lengths.
The silver thread gives the raw metal a smooth surface under the fingers of the left hand, with no roughness when moving into position. The red colouring identifies the string in a set of ten - a visual cue that removes any ambiguity when assembling or restocking.
