Robin Zander is the lead singer of the American band Cheap Trick, which he joined in 1974 and with which he enjoyed huge international success. His powerful, versatile voice has left its mark on hits like I Want You to Want Me and Surrender, which have become emblematic of rock in the 70s and 80s.
In addition to his role as frontman, Zander is also a guitarist and composer, actively contributing to the writing of the band's repertoire. He pursued a solo career with a self-titled album in 1993, exploring more personal sounds. Still active, he continues to tour with Cheap Trick, renowned for their energetic performances and longevity on stage.
Fun fact: Robin Zander sang in front of over 200,000 people at the famous Cheap Trick concert at Budokan in Japan in 1978, a show that has gained a cult following and is immortalised on the album Cheap Trick at Budokan.
