The LTD Signature Series JD-I Joe Duplantier Silver Sunburst is the first signature guitar from the founder and composer of Gojira, designed for guitarists seeking precision and expressiveness in the modern metal register. Its mahogany body brings a natural warmth to the sound, with present midrange and deep bass, ideal for powerful riffs and the dynamic textures characteristic of heavy and progressive metal.
The three-piece roasted maple neck, combined with a Macassar ebony fingerboard, ensures fluid playability and optimum comfort. The slim U-shape provides easy access to the entire neck, and the 22 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets offer a clear attack and extended sustain. The pearloid inlays add a discreet touch of elegance.
The JD-I is equipped with a DiMarzio JD Fortitude humbucking pickup, designed to reproduce aggressive playing without loss of definition, accompanied by the Hipshot Tone-a-Matic bridge and LTD locking tuners, for perfect tuning stability even during intense playing. The Graphtech TUSQ saddle contributes to precise intonation and balanced sound projection.
Delivered in its hard case, the JD-I is ready to take on the stage or the studio. It's aimed at musicians with a passion for metal, but its versatility means it can also be used to explore contemporary rock and more experimental sounds, offering a guitar that's expressive, stable and fun to play.
