The Schlagwerk HRS7-136 Hand Tubes 7 Tones Earth / Om immerses the listener in a fundamental frequency of 136.1 Hz, the same pitch found in the natural laws of vibration. Each aluminium tube releases a pure series of natural harmonics, with every partial of the fundamental remaining playable throughout the playing motion. The Earth / Om tuning establishes a deep, grounded anchor, far removed from the usual tempered scales.

The aluminium tubes, with their textured surfaces, maintain a consistent tone without any unwanted squeaking as you play. When held by hand, the wrist guides each tube and modulates the attack of the sound according to the pressure applied. A cord is also used to move and swing the tubes, creating a continuous vibrating motion through the air. The included MA102 mallet provides the crisp attack needed to reveal the full harmonic range of each tube.

Whether in a sound bath, a meditation session or as an accompaniment in sound therapy, this set is best placed at the centre of a circle or near a floor mat. Its compatibility with the Infinity Gongs IG136 and IG204 allows you to create a coherent set of low frequencies for longer sessions.
