Originally called Custom Custom Custom, the Custom 5 was launched in Seymour Duncan's Custom Shop in response to requests from guitarists for a brighter alnico 5 version of the popular Custom Custom.
Hand-built in Santa Barbara, California, the Custom 5 uses an alnico 5 magnet, a nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor wire for a wide range of wiring options and is wax-coated to prevent pickup problems.
