Active electronic pre-amplification system for electric bass, with 2-band EQ, for 2 active pickups. Tone Circuits add enormous tonal versatility to any bass. It allows the musician to boost or cut specifically targeted frequencies to achieve specific tones and compose an exceptional timbre, whatever the situation.

The STC-2A tone control is designed to work in any bass equipped with two active pickups, it has 3 control buttons (Volume/Slap, Mix, Concentric Low/High) and requires 1 9V battery (2 9v batteries can be wired in series, for more margin).
Treble control can produce a wide, bright response, but smooth without being shrill.
Bass can be reduced to add punch, or increased to add warmth and punch.
The Slap Switch is a push-pull switch located on the volume control. Pulling the volume knob will activate the special EQ contour, designed specifically for slap playing.
The two small adjustment potentiometers on the circuit board can be modified to preset the slap contour EQ as you wish.
