Presentation
The Showtec Dataflower is one of those fixtures that brings a classic approach to lighting up to date, while benefiting from current LED technology. It is based on a 100-watt source, powerful enough to project sharp, bright gobos, even in spaces where the lighting atmosphere is already busy. Its optics offer a 40° beam angle, wide enough to easily cover a dance floor or an entire wall without having to multiply the fixtures.
This model also stands out for the richness of its effects. The colour wheel has nine shades plus an open position, while the gobo wheel has eleven, also with an open position. Both can be rotated and indexed, making it effortless to vary the patterns. The bi-directional mirror disc adds an extra dimension by creating continuous movements that fill the space. With a little smoke or mist, the aerial rendering becomes particularly interesting, with visible, highly dynamic beams.
It's easy to get to grips with, whether you're working with DMX, standalone or sound control. The three DMX modes on offer (2, 5 or 7 channels) meet all the needs of a fixed installation or a mobile control room. Axial fan cooling keeps the LED at a stable temperature without generating annoying noise. Its metal construction ensures good durability, and it can be installed on a bracket or via a clamp depending on the configuration of the venue.
