Showtec - Typhoon 640

The Showtec Typhoon 640 offers an original way of creating a lighting atmosphere by combining a classic concept, the mirror ball, with a modern LED system designed to offer a variety of visual effects. The unit is built around a half-faceted ball that rotates in the centre of the fixture, illuminated by six inward-facing 40W RGBW LEDs. This configuration produces wide, colourful reflections that extend to an angle of 160°, a real advantage when you need to cover a space without a lot of headroom.

Each LED has its own control, so you can play with colours, intensities and animations without constraint. There are also RGB strips integrated into each LED module, which are also independent, adding an extra level of ambience or rhythm depending on the programming. Operation remains simple: several DMX modes, highly responsive sound control and a stand-alone mode for installations where the equipment needs to run unsupervised.

Thanks to its convection cooling system, the Typhoon 640 operates with a very low noise level, an advantage for bars, restaurants, event spaces or private parties where the lighting atmosphere needs to remain present without disturbing the environment. The luminaire can be installed in the traditional way or positioned differently to achieve original effects, giving it a degree of flexibility when it comes to integration. Its compact size also makes it easy to assemble quickly and set up on the move.
