Showtec - LED Octostrip Set MKII 100cm

The Showtec LED Octostrip Set MKII 100cm is designed as a complete set rather than simply a collection of LED strips. The eight 1-metre light strips can be installed side by side, spaced apart or arranged according to the structure to be lit, to create lines, frames, backlights or graphic effects. The kit also includes the controller and the cables required for connection, allowing the whole system to be set up quickly.

Each strip is divided into 8 RGB sections. This layout allows colours to vary along the strip rather than applying the same setting uniformly across the entire strip. This makes it possible to create colour gradients, alternating colours or light movements that follow the physical arrangement of the Octostrips.

The controller offers access to several DMX configurations, ranging from 6 to 208 channels depending on the level of control required. The simplest modes allow for quick control of the main functions, whilst the 192-channel mode provides full RGB control over the sections. Dimming from 0 to 100 per cent and a strobe function up to 20 Hz round off the programming options.

Art-Net provides another way of integrating the system into a lighting installation. The eight bars can thus be operated via a network infrastructure, which particularly facilitates their use in set-ups involving numerous units or multiple lighting zones. Built-in programmes and colour effects are also available directly from the controller, with sequences designed for horizontal or vertical arrangements.

The system also remains hardware-compatible with the previous-generation Octostrip MKI. The two versions can therefore be combined within the same setup, particularly in 6-channel DMX mode. However, the built-in automatic programmes differ between the generations and are not intended for use together in this mode.

With its Quick-Lock mounts, M10 threading, mounting options and 3-pin XLR and etherCON DMX connections, the Showtec LED Octostrip Set MKII 100cm is equally at home in a stage installation as it is in architectural or event lighting designs.
