Showtec - TED Pack BS13

This TED Pack BS13 model from Showtec is designed for lighting installations requiring simple, reliable control of several circuits, with the special feature of incorporating outputs in the British BS13 format. The compact structure of the box makes it easy to integrate on a bridge, a wall bracket or directly into a technical area.

The whole unit is designed to operate in professional environments where LED projectors still rub shoulders with incandescent luminaires. The four channels can each accept up to 2 A, leaving plenty of scope for powering cut-outs, PARs, tubes or small LED bars.

Internal management is based on MOSFETs, which limits parasitic noise and makes the dimmer compatible with low loads, typically LEDs. The menu lets you choose between rising or falling edge operation, depending on the expected behaviour of the connected devices.

Installations that alternate between LEDs and halogens can therefore maintain regular dimming without visual artefacts. The module also offers four dimming curves, enabling the response to be adapted between very linear dimming or a more gradual feel, depending on the type of lighting.

The TED Pack BS13 offers a range of control options, including conventional DMX via 3 and 5 pin connectors, manual mode for one-off installations, and RDM for configurations that need to be monitored remotely.

FX mode adds a safety channel designed to activate machines requiring extra protection, such as launchers or certain stage friezes. The whole unit is protected by a metal casing and can be used in a temperature range of -5 to 40°C, which corresponds to the usual conditions for indoor performances.
