Based on a 1/4 wave radiation principle, the UA703 provides omni-directional coverage for mobile use. This design maintains a consistent radio link even as the user moves or changes orientation, which is critical for belt-pack microphones, in-ear monitoring systems, and stage and broadcast applications.
The frequency range covered, from 502 to 660 MHz, corresponds to a large part of the UHF spectrum used by Shure professional wireless systems. The grey cap makes it easy to visually identify this frequency band, which is particularly useful in environments where multiple antennas in different bands are operating simultaneously. This visual coding simplifies equipment management and reduces RF configuration errors.
The UA703 is equipped with an SMA connector, guaranteeing direct mechanical compatibility with Shure equipment designed for this standard. Replacement is quick and easy, with no need for special tools, enabling immediate return to service in the event of a damaged or missing antenna.
