Sterling by Music Man - CT50HSS Charging Green

A driving riff, a few clean chords, then a section where the guitar needs to come to the fore: it’s in these kinds of changes that the Sterling by Music Man CT50HSS Charging Green, a 6-string electric guitar, really comes into its own. Its HSS configuration features two Sterling single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions, complemented by a Sterling double-coil pickup at the bridge. The 5-position switch therefore allows you to switch from a clearer, more defined tone to a fuller sound, depending on the position selected and how you attack the strings.

The 3-piece roasted maple neck, secured with a 5-point bolt-on joint, provides a comfortable playing feel across the entire roasted maple fingerboard. With its 22 medium-jumbo frets, 305 mm radius and 42 mm nut width, the CT50HSS offers a comfortable playing environment for working on rhythm patterns, bends or melodic phrases. The self-locking tuners also make the instrument more practical to use, particularly when you’re regularly switching between tunings or songs.

In terms of controls, the Push/Push Volume Boost is a real asset for emphasising a passage or giving a guitar part more presence, without adding unnecessary controls. The vintage Sterling tremolo adds another means of expression to bring movement to chords and sustained notes. With its poplar body, lacquered finish and Charging Green colour, this CT50HSS also boasts a distinctive visual character that matches its highly player-focused design.
