Folk Electro Acoustic Guitar
A worthy heir to an already legendary lineage, the Taylor Builder’s Edition 814ce pushes the boundaries of acoustics even further with unmatched sound balance and playing comfort. Between the warm richness of solid Indian rosewood and the dynamic power of Adirondack spruce, this Grand Auditorium reveals a sound spectrum of fascinating depth. Its beveled cutaway and sculpted armrest add an unprecedented softness to the grip, while the glossy finish enhanced by a subtle Kona edgeburst on the back gives this folk a timeless elegance. Completed by the Expression System 2 for faithful amplification and delivered in a luxury hardshell case, it embodies the ultimate in Taylor craftsmanship.

Presentation
The soul of this Builder’s Edition 814ce lies in the perfect symbiosis between its solid Indian rosewood back and sides and its Adirondack spruce top. This subtle marriage offers a particularly expressive sound spectrum, where deep, enveloping bass meets crystalline treble, all enhanced by rich harmonics that seem to float in the air long after the note has been played.
The addition of the V-Class bracing reinforces this sonic presence by optimizing both sustain and projection, guaranteeing a dynamic and nuanced response to each pick or finger attack.
Designed to disappear under your hands and leave room only for the music, this Grand Auditorium benefits from ergonomic refinements that transform every moment of playing into a real pleasure. Its beveled cutaway allows smooth access to the highest frets, while the sculpted armrest on the upper side reduces the tension of the right arm, thus promoting long hours of inspiration without fatigue. The refined silhouette of the body completes this feeling of ease, making the guitar as pleasant to hold as it is to hear.
On the aesthetic side, Taylor enhances this Builder’s Edition 814ce with a fully glossy varnish, which highlights the deep reflections of the Indian rosewood and the natural shine of the spruce.
The Kona edgeburst finish applied to the back subtly highlights the curves of the instrument, offering a visual presence as captivating as its sound. Add to that a West African ebony fingerboard and a neo-tropical mahogany neck, and you get a guitar that combines finesse and presence down to the smallest details.
