Its Technics coreless direct-drive motor is paired with a heavy die-cast aluminium platter to ensure stable rotation. The professional S-shaped tonearm is height-adjustable and ensures precise tracking. The turntable offers three speeds – 33⅓, 45 and 78 rpm – as well as adjustable pitch control of ±8 per cent and ±16 per cent.
With a starting torque of 2.2 to 4.5 kg/cm and a claimed start-up time of just 0.7 seconds, the SL-1200M7G GREY boasts specifications well-suited to its intended use. Its distortion and flicker of 0.025 per cent WRMS round off the package.
The dedicated RCA phono output and ground terminal allow for the required audio connection. The turntable is supplied with its dust cover, felt mat, slip sheet, mounting hardware, cables and accessories. The cartridge is sold separately.
