Static Microphone
The Telefunken U48 is a tube condenser microphone, cardioid polar pattern and Figure-en-8, and a BV8 output transformer. It was the favorite mic of George Martin, the producer of The Beatles! Its two cardioid patterns and figure-in-8 makes it ideal for solo or group voice recordings, as well as for audio capture of instrumental sources. Its famous M7 double membrane capsule has an impeccable tonal response, and a high sound level. It is coupled to the Telefunken BV8 output transformer and the VF14K lamp.
