The Torso T1 is a new-generation algorithmic sequencer designed to stimulate musical creativity. With its tools for generating melodies, Euclidean rhythms, arpeggios and intelligent variations, it lets you quickly create evolving sequences for synthesizers, drum machines, modular systems and production software.

ARTICLE N° 123612
The Torso T1 reinvents the traditional approach to sequencing by offering a generative workflow designed to encourage experimentation and musical discovery. Rather than programming each note individually, the user shapes rhythms, melodies, harmonies and variations using intelligent musical algorithms that quickly produce inspiring results while retaining in-depth control over every parameter.

At the heart of the system are 16 independent tracks that can operate simultaneously on 16 separate MIDI channels. Each track has full polyphony and can exploit tools such as Euclidean rhythms, melody generators, advanced arpeggiators and random modulations applied to all parameters. This architecture makes it possible to create complex, evolving and organic sequences without interrupting the creative flow.

The T1 has also been designed for integration into today's production environments. MIDI, USB-C, CV/Gate and Ableton Link connections via Wi-Fi enable it to control hardware synthesizers, Eurorack systems, drum machines and digital audio workstations. This versatility makes it a real control centre for electronic artists looking for a single solution capable of federating all their equipment.

With an interface featuring 18 push-button rotary encoders and 23 RGB backlit pads, the T1 encourages direct interaction with the music. Its intuitive approach is particularly appreciated by live musicians and techno, ambient, IDM or experimental producers who want to generate original ideas quickly without sacrificing spontaneity.

1. Snapshots" allow you to explore without risk, transforming the T1 into a veritable laboratory for musical experimentation:
The T1 features a Snapshots system that lets you instantly store a complete state of a sequence, then experiment freely with variations, randomisations or transformations before returning to the previous state. This is particularly useful for live performance or creative sessions where you want to test extreme ideas without the risk of losing a successful sequence.

2. Randomisation is configurable and targeted, a feature much appreciated in techno, ambient, IDM or generative performance:
Unlike many sequencers where the Random function generates totally unpredictable results, the T-1 lets you apply randomness in a highly controlled way to precise parameters: notes, rhythms, velocities, probabilities, durations or even modulations.
The user can thus preserve the musical identity of a motif while giving it a permanent organic evolution.

3. Tracks can be of independent lengths, making it easy to create complex, evolving sequences without tedious programming:
A less-publicised feature is that each track can operate with its own length, rhythmic divisions and generative parameters.
This makes it easy to create polymetric patterns and very long evolutions that only repeat after several bars, or even several minutes.

Bonus: the T1 is designed to 'play' algorithms, and that's what really sets it apart from competitors like Squarp Hapax, Oxi One or Elektron Digitakt:
Torso's philosophy is not to replace the musician with automatic generation. The algorithms are designed as instruments to be manipulated in real time. The parameters of density, variation, probability, harmonisation or repetition can be changed during playback to gradually transform an idea rather than simply launching a pre-programmed sequence.
This is probably what distinguishes the T-1 most from a conventional sequencer: you play the compositional rules as much as the notes themselves.
