The Apollo X16 is Universal Audio's latest generation rack-mounted Apollo. It is equipped with 2 Thunderbolt 3 Mac and PC compatible ports (Thunderblot 2 backward compatible via adapter not included), 6 DSPs to manage UAD effects in real time, 16 line inputs/outputs and 2 AES/EBU inputs/outputs + 2 XLR master outputs.

Presentation
The Apollo X16 is Universal Audio's high-end interface, which has become a reference in studios - professional or not. It replaces the Apollo 16 Quad and is the ideal tool for multi-channel recording and mixing, perfect companion for your summing device(s).
The conversion has been reviewed and further improved to compete with the best converters on the market in all price categories: new converters (24 bit/192 kHz) combined with a highly transparent analogue circuit, with a dynamic margin of 129 dB and a further lowered self noise level (128 dB).
Surround management (various presets depending on configuration, monitor calibration, solo/mute, etc.) is available on the Apollo X16 from the UAD Software v9.7.1 minimum.
The connection-integration to your studio devices is optimized with a maximum level choice (headroom +24 / +20 dBu).
Connectivity is Thunderbolt 3, ultra fast, Mac and PC compatible, and Thunderbolt 2 backward compatible (with adapter not included). This allows up to 4 Apollo interfaces to be linked together to create a system with more inputs/outputs and more DSP power.
The Apollo X16 comes with the free UAD plug-in suite "Realtime Analog Classic Plus" (UA610-B preamp, Marshall and Ampeg guitar/bass amps, Telextronix, Fairchild and UA compressor, Pultec equalization, delay, reverb, etc)
