MOTU 10pre: The Reference Thunderbolt 4 / USB4 Audio Interface for Demanding Productions
MOTU 10pre is a next-generation 26x28 I/O audio interface designed to transform your DAW setup into a powerful 24-bit/192 kHz digital workstation. It's the ideal tool for sound engineers, producers and FOHs looking for advanced connectivity and uncompromising audio quality.

High-speed connectivity and performance
Using state-of-the-art Thunderbolt 4 / USB4 technology, the 10pre connects universally to Mac, PC or iOS via the included 40Gbps USB-C cable. This architecture guarantees high-performance MOTU drivers, enabling exceptionally low round-trip latency (RTL), as low as 1.8 ms at 96 kHz, crucial for real-time recording and monitoring. The interface is capable of handling up to 256 audio channels (128 In / 128 Out) depending on the host connection.

Superior Analogue Quality and Preamp Flexibility
Analogue performance is ensured by renowned ESS Sabre32™ DAC technology, guaranteeing superb audio quality with a measured dynamic range of 125dB.

The 10pre offers ten high-performance mic/line/instrument inputs on XLR/TRS combo jacks. This versatility is optimised for studio and stage:
- Eight preamps are located at the rear of the unit, perfect for permanent connections (patch bays, synths, drums).
- Two additional preamps (inputs 1-2) are easily accessible from the front, offering immediate availability for connecting a session microphone or Hi-Z guitar.
These advanced mic channels use state-of-the-art components for ultra-transparent sound (THD+N of -114dB, EIN of -129dBu). Each preamp has individual controls for gain (+74dB), pad (-20dB), 48V and phase inversion, all of which can be controlled remotely.

Essential for professionals: Conversion quality is maintained and guaranteed even when all analogue channels are used, as each preamp is totally independent, ensuring that the high-end specification applies across all 10 inputs.

Routing, DSP Mixing and Advanced Functions
The digital heart of the 10pre is a 64-channel, 32-bus DSP digital mixer, offering 32-bit floating-point effects processing (including reverb, double-precision 4-band EQ, high-pass filter, gate and compressor).
- Analogue inserts: Inputs 1 and 2 feature dedicated send/return inserts to easily integrate your external analogue gear (vintage compressors or EQ) into your workflow. The insert returns can also be used as additional line inputs when not being used by a microphone.
- Flexible Routing: CueMix Pro™ software enables intuitive Patchbay routing, where you can route any source to any destination, including Loopback for streaming and podcasting.
- In-Cab Control: The interface includes essential features such as talkback and front-panel A/B/C speaker selection to instantly compare your mixes on up to three pairs of monitors. Two independent, programmable headphone outputs are also available.
- AVB audio networking: equip yourself for the future with two Gigabit Ethernet ports supporting AVB networking. You can daisy-chain or connect multiple 10pre units (or other MOTU AVB devices), enabling the streaming of hundreds of audio channels with ultra-low network latency, even over long distances.
- Wireless Control: Manage mixing, settings and parameters wirelessly from the CueMix Pro™ app on your phone, tablet or computer via Wi-Fi.
