With its on-board FIR filters, reworked bass response and optimised dispersion, it takes the concept of continuous improvement one step further. Without revolutionising the exterior, it has given its sound processing a thorough overhaul. The result is a cleaner, more accurate system, without sounding like an audiophile guru.

Presentation
The Wharfedale Pro Typhon-AXF15-BT remains faithful to the DNA of the series, but injects a welcome touch of modernity with its new FIR filters. The result? A sharper phase and magnitude response, for an even more balanced sound reproduction. Bluetooth connectivity with aptX and TWS link round off an already impressive array of features. Enough to satisfy both the Saturday DJ and the Thursday stage manager.
Beneath its black polypropylene shell and steel grille, the Typhon-AXF15-BT hides custom-made transducers designed to take a lot of punishment. Its 15" driver and compression driver ensure clear reproduction, even at full volume. The whole unit remains stable, even when the speaker decides to send 130dB through your molars.
Sound management is handled by an on-board DSP capable of modulating the speaker's personality via four clever presets. In other words: one button, four ambiances, to be adapted according to mood or mission. And because it's not afraid of damp or dirt, IP54 certification means you can take it anywhere without asking too many existential questions.
When it comes to installation, the Wharfedale Pro Typhon-AXF15-BT is docile. With nine M8 attachment points, a ∅35 mm base plate and four well-placed handles, it can be hung or placed without complaint. Whether backstage or in front of the stage, it remains stable, secure and always ready to make itself heard - without being as annoying as a neighbour with a home cinema system.
