Xvive - U7

The Xvive U7 is a wireless system for saxophone, trumpet or trombone that combines faithful recording at high acoustic pressure with ultra-stable digital transmission. Designed for musicians who want to move around freely on stage without compromising on sound quality, it combines a supercardioid gooseneck microphone with a compact transmitter that can be fixed directly to the bell of the instrument.

The microphone capsule, specifically optimised for brass instruments, accurately captures the timbre, projection and natural nuances of the instrument. With a dynamic range of 108 dB and a maximum SPL of 142 dB, the U7 can handle both powerful attacks and the subtle nuances of a solo without distortion. With a sensitivity of -45 dB, the sound remains defined and balanced, restoring the acoustic colour that is unique to each wind instrument.

The system operates in the free, universal 2.4 GHz band, with six switchable channels to avoid interference in busy RF environments. Its sub-5ms latency ensures immediate responsiveness, while 24-bit / 48kHz digital transmission delivers the sonic clarity of a professional cable. Wireless range is up to 27 metres (90 feet) in open field, offering complete freedom of movement on stage, in rehearsals or when touring.

The transmitter is easily attached to the instrument using the clip provided, while the flexible gooseneck allows the microphone to be aimed precisely at the ideal pick-up zone. Two windscreens are included (foam and fur) to preserve sound clarity outdoors or on stage.

The compact, robust receiver connects directly to the XLR input of a console, preamp or PA system. It incorporates two non-detachable antennas for stable reception, and delivers a balanced, high-quality signal. The 108dB signal-to-noise ratio ensures clean, quiet reproduction, even at high volumes.

Battery life is up to 5 hours on an internal rechargeable battery, with full recharging in 2.5 hours via the dual USB-C cable supplied, enabling the transmitter and receiver to be charged simultaneously. Everything comes in a hard carrying case, along with the microphone, clip, windscreens and charging cable.
