Presentation
The Xvive U8 is a wireless system dedicated to acoustic, folk and classical guitars, capturing the natural sound of the instrument with impressive clarity. Designed for musicians who want to play freely without compromising audio quality, it combines a high-sensitivity supercardioid gooseneck pickup with a low-latency 2.4 GHz digital transmission system.
The pick-up, specially designed for the resonance box of an acoustic guitar, faithfully reproduces the timbre, harmonics and dynamics of playing. Its supercardioid pick-up pattern effectively isolates the guitar from ambient noise, making it ideal for live performances, recording sessions or on-stage recordings. With a maximum sound pressure level of 142dB SPL and a sensitivity of -45dB, the U8 handles both delicate arpeggios and the most energetic strumming without saturation.
Audio transmission is based on 24-bit / 48 kHz digital technology, ensuring faithful reproduction over the entire bandwidth from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a signal-to-noise ratio of 108 dB and a latency of less than 5 ms. The system operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM (Universal ISM Band), with six channels available to avoid interference. It has a range of up to 27 metres (90 feet) in open field, ensuring a stable connection on stage or in the studio.
Installation is simple: the gooseneck microphone attaches directly to the rosette or rim of the body using the clip provided, while the compact transmitter connects to the microphone. The receiver, meanwhile, connects directly to a console, amp or audio interface via its balanced XLR output. Two built-in antennas ensure reliable, uninterrupted reception.
The Xvive U8 comes with two windscreens (foam and fur) for use outdoors or in ventilated environments. The internal rechargeable battery provides up to 5 hours of autonomy, with full recharging in 2.5 hours via the included dual USB-C cable, enabling the transmitter and receiver to be charged simultaneously.
