Yamaha - LL56 Custom ARE
The LL56 Custom ARE is the flagship model in Yamaha's L-series, handcrafted in Japan with an 'Original Jumbo' body that delivers rich volume and a wide dynamic range. It's built with top-of-the-range solid woods, including an Engelmann spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, all treated with A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) to simulate the sound of an aged instrument. The neck is five-ply mahogany and rosewood with a comfortable traditional profile, and the instrument features luxurious cosmetic details such as abalone inlays and a nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
Presentation
The Original Jumbo body offers generous projection without losing the definition needed for fingerstyle playing. The five-ply mahogany-palissander neck and ebony fingerboard provide stability and glide, while the 650 mm scale gives balanced tension and comfort for accompaniment.
The A.R.E. top provides a mature response from the very first notes. The nitrocellulose finish lets the wood breathe, while the abalone inlays enhance the sound. Supplied with a hard case, it's ready for the road. On stage, the LL56 balances the mix without erasing attack nuances; in the studio, it reveals harmonics with natural ease.
