Yamaha's RAS1455 Recording Custom 14" x 5.5" aluminium snare features a 1.2mm barrel with 45° edges, moulded hoops and outer ring for a precise, well-defined sound. Developed with Steve Gadd, it incorporates two types of timbre, a 20-string and a 10-string, to tailor the response to your preferences. Its Q-type trigger ensures smooth, silent operation, ideal for both studio and live use.
Presentation
The 3 mm, 10-pull die-cast hoops ensure stable tension and an even response across the entire surface of the skin. The Yamaha Type Q trigger, combined with the DC3 counterpart, allows fluid adjustment of the 25-strand carbon steel tone for clear, defined articulation.
The combination of sandblasted Remo Ambassador and Reso skins completes the package, with sensitivity tailored to dynamic nuances. With its Hairline Clear finish and design based on the Recording Custom series, this model is aimed at musicians who value sonic precision and mechanical reliability.
