Yamaha - RBROCKRW Recording Custom Rock Real Wood 22"
Designed in collaboration with Steve Gadd for the studio, the RBROCKRW Recording Custom Rock Real Wood 22" kit includes a 22 "x18" bass drum as well as toms (10 "x7", 12 "x8") and a floor tom (16 "x15"), all made with 6-ply birch drums known for their articulate sound and ability to reduce interference between drums. The 22" bass drum features wooden hoops and generates a 'fat sound' with plenty of punch, thanks also to Remo PS3 Coated heads for a powerful attack. For improved sustain and a clean sound, the drums are fitted with the new high-tension weighted tie rods and a 30-degree chamfer, chosen to increase the connection with the head and deliver a crisper response.
Presentation
The 6-ply American birch drums deliver a clean attack and natural midrange control. The 30° chamfer ensures optimum contact with the heads, for controlled projection and a fluid response. The heavier shells contribute to balanced sustain, while the 1.6 mm chromed steel triple-flange hoops guarantee stable tension and clean resonance.
The combination of Remo US Coated Ambassador skins on the toms and Remo PS3 skins on the bass drum produces a homogenous sound that's easy to use for recording. Yamaha's signature YESS system frees the drums from vibration while maintaining perfect stability.
With its Real Wood colour and chrome fittings, this 4-drum set has a natural, elegant look. Designed for demanding drummers, it delivers a clean, balanced sound that's ready to integrate into any mix.
