The Zildjian Sound Lab has created THE new generation of low-volume cymbals. This is the series Gen16 Buffed Bronze (Bronze polished). Thanks to the experience gained on the old Gen16 in "nickel", the team conducted Zildjian small changes, but have a great impact on the sound.
This is particularly the case for the bell has been redesigned and reduced volume, or on an additional turning applied on the underside of cymbals to accentuate the low frequencies.
With Bronze Polished used to these new cymbals, the overall tone is darker without upper harmonics not to mention their sparkling design. It's simple, these cymbals sparkle!
