The Zildjian K Constantinople 22" Renaissance Ride retains the spirit of the great jazz rides in the series, with an even more nuanced approach to grain and texture. From the very first strikes, it offers a blend of depth and detail, with a response that builds gradually and remains highly musical.

Its hammering, organised into several lines and clusters, gives it a real sonic identity. There's a slight 'dirty' side to the overall sound, but it's always controlled, adding substance without muddying the signal. The sound breathes, with dark harmonics superimposed to create real density.

The medium-thin weight gives it great flexibility under the baton. The bounce is natural, making it easy to play in a continuous ride, with a fluid, organic feel. The bell remains defined thanks to its partially unturned finish, which keeps a clear reference point in the playing.

Developed in collaboration with Adam Nussbaum, this ride is easily integrated into small to medium ensemble jazz settings. It can remain very discreet in the playing or open up more depending on the intensity of the strikes, while maintaining a constant, legible coherence of sound throughout the ensemble.
