The Zildjian P0612ADIESE rattlesnake is tuned to the note A# in the upper register. Made from bronze, it delivers a clear, brilliant sound. Also known as an "antique cymbal", it follows a very ancient musical tradition.
Thanks to its precise tuning, it can be easily integrated into an orchestral band. Used on its own, it produces a crystal-clear sound akin to the tinkling of a bell. On the other hand, as part of a complete set, it can be used to play entire chromatic scales.
The B20 alloy used by Zildjian provides robustness and harmonic richness. With hard mallets, the sound becomes incisive and brilliant. With softer mallets, it gains in roundness and subtlety. As a result, this crotchet is equally suited to classical works and contemporary creations.
