AKG - Drum Set Concert
The AKG Drum Set Concert is a complete set of microphones designed for covering drums both live and in the studio. It includes a D112 MKII for bass drums, four D40s for toms and snare drums, and two C430 static mics for overheads and cymbals.
Presentation
The heart of the system is the famous AKG D112 MKII, a dynamic microphone dedicated to the bass drum. A benchmark in the field for many years, it stands out for its ability to cope with extremely high SPL levels while retaining precision, impact and depth in the lower end of the spectrum. Its optimised resonance chamber reproduces the attack and power of the bass drum with great definition.
For the snare and toms, AKG supplies four D40 microphones. These dynamic full-range models use Varimotion technology with a double-layer diaphragm derived from the brand's top-of-the-range vocal microphones. This design improves the reproduction of bass, midrange and transients without the need for excessive equalisation. Their robust metal construction makes them particularly suitable for touring and intensive performances.
The pack also includes two C430 cardioid condenser microphones for overheads and cymbals. Their precision and clarity capture nuances, stereo image and harmonic detail with great naturalness.
The kit comes in a sturdy aluminium case with the necessary mounting accessories to simplify installation on stage or in the studio. The kit can also be used to cover guitar, bass, percussion or acoustic amps, depending on the needs of the production.
