The AKG PCC170 SW surface microphone is designed to clearly pick up speech from a conference table or podium, with a supercardioid polar pattern that minimises ambient noise. Its discreet design fits easily into a fixed installation, and its programmable switch provides a mute function that is particularly useful when each speaker deserves a brief moment of silence.

Its programmable switch is one of its distinctive features. Its silent operation can be configured as On/Off, fixed or momentary, depending on the control logic chosen for the installation. The bass-tilt function also allows the bass response to be adjusted and subsonic noise to be reduced, with a subtle yet precisely targeted effect on the signal.
